What is Life Coaching?
Merriam Webster defines a life coach as “an advisor who helps people make decisions, set and reach goals, or deal with problems”. More specifically, my role is to help people close the distance between where they are in life and where they want to be. I help them stretch mentally, inspiring them to give thoughtful and thorough consideration to how they want to design their lives then empower and support them through implementation. Through compassion and understanding, my mission is to partner with my clients, supporting them in the recognition of their full capacity, helping them set SMART goals, encouraging them to accomplish said goals, and celebrating their victories.
Coaching is commonly confused with therapy. The difference between the two is that Therapy is designed to evaluate the past and pinpoint the reasoning behind the current state of an individual’s life while Coaching is designed to help people move forward. These services can be equally beneficial to an individual depending on their specific needs.
Single Sessions can be scheduled but it is recommended that clients take advantage of session packages as the work we do would likely be continuous. In coaching sessions, the discussion is guided by whatever matter is pressing for the client. Topics of discussion span a wide variety of matters encountered in day-to-day life. These may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Accountability
Goal Setting
Decision Making
Building Confidence
Creating Habits and Routines
Shifting Mindset
Managing Stress
Resilience
Setting Boundaries
